Writers Store:Story Mapping the Films of Christopher Nolan

I have more or less than 12 hours to decide whether I'll join the webinar presented by Writers Store and it looks like I'll be missing this opportunity since I had recently ordered Story Cards from Writers Store before the Christmas holidays and well, the shipping cost (even if I expected it, was quite costly).  The package hasn't arrived yet. I've seen the tracking list and the package was just several towns away from me. lolz  So close! I hope the package will reach me by January 2 because I'll be leaving for my cousin's wedding.  :)

Oh, I want to check out this webinar! :D

Music Monday: The Brewer Boys - Christmas Song/Mistletoe (Cover)

It's still December so the carols go ever on. :D A friend of mine posted several months ago about The Brewer Boys visit to Manila and I also think I've heard this rendition played on the radio too.

Saturday's Photo Hunt

Today, a different turn of photo hunt was suggested and I think it's a great challenge. This time around each week, we'll be presented a photo theme and the picture will answer the current photo theme. Easy? Let's see how I'll fare in the next few weeks. Haha

Theme for today is gathering. Others can be seen here.

Skywatch Friday

For other snapshots visit here.
The moon was bright last night
I love the blues that translated into this capture and the way the tree branches reached out to the moon. The caretaker of our neighbor from across the street must have been wagging his head in puzzlement, why I was taking a pic of the moon. Hey, it was a beautiful night. :D

My attempt using a different setting
The moon just sent a streak of light to the heavens :D

Once Upon Time Fans: Caption This : My Take :D

Evil Regina

I had the chance to catch one of these "Caption This" pics lately (and I'll post the one from NatGeo   once I find my answer to it. I should saved it earlier. Oh, well.)

If you have been following the series, we are getting more and more into Regina's motivation why she was plotting havoc to people in Storybrooke while at the same time trying to atone for her misdeeds in between. Hmm, something might crack along the way.....

Once Upon A Time Fans Facebook page posted this pic above and you'll find some funny captions there too. I wanted to join in the fun so I wrote this:

Cue ominous/ heart-gut music

The Nativity at the Plaza

Beautiful Poinsettias in a Christmas tree fashion at a garden center

I would like an array of Poinsettias arranged that way but somehow our area at home is a hot spot for aphids. :(  For other Ruby Ready Tuesday, visit here.

Music Monday: After All It's Christmas by a1

I hope somewhere down the line, they'll release a Christmas compilation. This B-side was from "Another Year Gone," a winter edition to "Waiting For Daylight" album for Norway release.  While I was listening to this, I had Hallmark movies scenes in my mind and in fact, I even thought of an idea for a music video too. :D

"After All It's Christmas
by a1
I feel the joy in this Christmas time
But something's missing in this heart of mine
The choir sings that the season's here
I always miss you this time of year

It's crowded out in Trafalgar Square
But it feels so empty when you're not there
They're all waiting for snow to fall
But I'm just waiting for a miracle

Left my heart underneath the tree I believe
After all it's Christmas
Pray the lights lead you back to me
I believe after all it's Christmas Oh, Oh
I believe after all it's Christmas Oh, Oh
I believe after all it's Christmas time

If New Year comes and my gifts still there
The lights come down and the tree is bare
I'll keep it wrapped 'til December when
I'll place it under the tree again

I left my heart underneath the tree
I believe after all it's Christmas
Pray the lights lead you back to me

I believe after all it's Christmas Oh, Oh
I believe after all it's Christmas Oh, Oh
I believe after all it's Christmas time

Christmas morning finally
I run down stairs excitedly
Then to my surprise
I see the greatest gift in front of me

You left your heart underneath the tree
I believe after all it's Christmas
I guess the lights led you back to me
I believe after all it's Christmas oh, oh
I believe after all it's Christmas oh, oh
I believe after all it's Christmas oh, oh

You left your heart underneath the tree
I believe after all it's Christmas
I guess the lights led you back to me
I believe after all it's Christmas oh, oh
I believe after all it's Christmas oh, oh
I believe after all it's Christmas time

I've been searching for this song since it was aired around last week on radio but the radio dj didn't add the artist's name fortunately, the voices were familiar and 'lo!

Digital Release Date: 04/13/2012

Description: What happens after Clark puts on the costume? Can he keep his Super-secret quiet?

My thoughts

It was delightful news learning that Bryan Q. Miller took up the task and wrote the‘Guardian’ story as the first salvo in continuing Clark's adventure now fully suited with the familiar ‘S’ across his chest, caped and booted, and doing flybys over Metropolis. Together with the regulars: Lex Luthor, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Lois and Chloe, this was a promising start of the comic series.

Music Monday: Toby Lightman's song HOLDING A HEART

A couple of Sunday's ago, I was able to watch "What's your Number?" starring Anna Faris and Chris Evans . I didn't expect this song for the second time around. I'm not sure if I did heard it from "Switched at Birth" too  since I remember early in the afternoon that day, I watched the re-air episode. Hmm, according to this video, the song was featured in "One Tree Hill." Cool

Saturday Photo Hunt: New (Paint, location, rice chips)

Today's photohunt is New! Visit the others here.

Preparing a scene
Director (off camera): This won't do. We have the old and new meshed in this scene. We need old world feel.
Location scout (off camera) : We can photoshop later the green valve and anything else sticking out at post-production, sir.
Director sighs. (turns to the actors) Ben, Gwen, and Cheetarah and...action.

Sooo on other news.....
Chips made from Korean Rice
I went to the mall last week and found a new stall selling this Korean rice made chips. The plastic container had 100 pcs or so of chips and it was cheap. It sounds healthier too based from what the product person was sharing to me. I'll definitely go for another one next time I get to visit the mall.

The time when....

Noah Ringer receives his 2nd Dan blackbelt certificate
It started out as a routine Facebook visit on what's going on with friends that were topping my home news page when I saw a pic of my college friend about her son taking belt testing. It was a cute shot that soon led me to several Internet searches about Poomse that soon landed me on finding an ATA vid link of Noah Ringer during the time, the The Last Airbender was being released in Blu-ray. I did find one and it was so cool seeing him demonstrate Tai chi movements that he had done in the movie. I was chuckling when he said how cool it was doing his first stunt strapped on the harness going through the motions of leaping onto the ship's deck. I don't own a DVD of the movie but the brief glimpse of the special features sure does look fun seeing Noah all smiles after getting hoisted up in the air after completing a scene.

The video was  enjoyable to watch and I recalled one of the presenters saying that he noticed after Noah's demonstration how awestruck the kids were. :D Heck, I was too. :D Good luck to Noah! Hope we see him again in the big screen. Cowboys and Aliens was a good one too.

Music Monday: Nicholis Louw en Heinz Winckler - Living Next Door To Alice

My first introduction to Mr. Heinz Winckler music was way back 2001, (more or less) when I heard  "Chasing Shadows" which was included in the South African release of Disney's "Treasure Planet." I was able to buy a copy of his freshman album "One Step Closer" the following year after waiting with no such luck of any store carrying his album from where I'm from. My little review here. I may not have been able to get copies of his succeeding albums due to things that have cropped up over the years but hopefully when I'm able again, I'll check them out.

Book Nooks

Book Nooks
*Every weekend*
Show us something pretty!
and
hop to Michelle's blog to add your book nooks

Commentary: I like the color of wood to some degree. I probably would add curtains to break the monotony of having one color. I think it's beautiful to do for a landing. You can have a nice chat with a couple of friends while admiring a stunning view of the garden outside. A great reading area if you want to go somewhere different for a change.  The area looks so comfy. I'll probably change the lights to soft white lights so it won't have the effect of yellow light that makes me drowsy. :D
